Invitation to Submit Abstracts for Posters
Closing date for abstract submission 30 November 2023 - NOW CLOSED
The Scientific Programme Committee is calling for abstracts from those wishing to present posters at the 29th ASO Congress. Poster presentations aim to provide succinct and clear information regarding a clinical or research topic. Space will be limited and will therefore impact on the content of the poster. The poster size is limited to 90 x 120 cms.
The following format is recommended:
a Title, informing of the nature of the work, the people involved and their affiliation.
an Introduction which should include background and clear statements about the issue, the characteristics of discovery or the evidence attempting to be established.
Aims which should emanate from the introduction and to explore the unknown.
a Materials and/or Methodology section which describes and explains the basis of the technique used or the procedure adopted. Statements and justification of any assumptions should be made, so that results may be viewed in the proper context.
a Results section which illustrates the main findings and outcomes of the work.
a Discussion section, which amplifies and compares the findings.
a Conclusion which focuses on the findings, the impact of the work and makes recommendations.
Once accepted further information, including a PowerPoint template to assist in the production of the poster, will be available to be down-loaded from the programme page on the Congress website.
All poster abstract submissions must be submitted via the submission link.
